WTF? "Coming to Detroit! Aladdin on Ice?"

One of three people sought by the FBI was captured in Canada Thursday and two were still on the loose after a federal raid and deadly shooting of a radical Islam leader whose goal authorities say was to take down the U.S. government.

Federal authorities in Detroit said the son of 53-year-old Luqman Ameen Abdullah, who was killed in Wednesday night's shootout with FBI agents, was arrested across the border in Windsor, Ontario.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police took 30-year-old Mujahid Carswell, who was considered armed and dangerous, into custody Thursday. No other details were released.

Carswell was among 11 people charged Wednesday in a criminal complaint in federal court in Detroit.

Andrew Arena, the head of the FBI office in Detroit, says the men follow "a very hybrid radical ideology" that mainstream Muslims "would not recognize."

Two were still at large: 30-year-old Yassir Ali Khan of Warren and Ontario, and 33-year-old Mohammad Philistine of Ontario.

Healthcare Plan Derailing?

Oh, Great Lord Obama,...Tell Pelosi to Get on the Same Page, Please!!

Will Reid Retreat? Resistance to Government Health Plan Could Force Compromise
Democratic aides say Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who does not have the 60 votes needed to kill a filibuster on his health care bill, could end up falling back on an alternative plan pushed by Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe.

Meanwhile,....over on the other side of The Hill:

Pelosi Unveils Health Bill With Government-Run Insurance Option
Speaking on the West Front of the Capitol surrounded by Democratic lawmakers, Pelosi, D-Calif., said the House's version of a health care reform bill will include a government-run insurance option and extend coverage to 36 million uninsured Americans.

No So Fast Harry!

Independent Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman said Tuesday that he would back a Republican filibuster against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's health care reform bill if a government-backed insurance plan remains in the package.

The announcement is a blow to the Democratic leader and signals that he does not yet have the votes to advance the bill. While Reid needs just 51 votes to pass the package, he needs 60 votes to crush a filibuster.

"If the bill remains what it is now, I will not be able to support a cloture motion before final passage," Lieberman told reporters, adding that he's willing to vote to bring the bill to the floor for debate.

"Dollhouse" Likely to Be Cancelled,...

Hello, Eliza? Time to start auditioning again!

Bad news for fans of Fox's sci-fi drama 'Dollhouse': Entertainment Weekly reports that the show has been pulled from the November sweeps lineup, but is expected to return in December.

The network will air back-to-back episodes of 'Dollhouse' on Friday nights; it seems likely that after the 13-episode order is finished, the show will be officially canceled.

'Dollhouse' premiered on Feb. 13, 2009, and never reached more than five million viewers for any single episode.

Pie-Splattered Comedian Soupy Sales Dies at 83

Ain't Karma Just Like Pelosi??

CALDWELL, Idaho — Police say an Idaho woman who made a false 911 call to lure paramedics out of their station made a real emergency call minutes later when she got trapped under the station's garage door.

Melissa R. Farris died Oct. 2 of injuries suffered when she was crushed by the closing garage door at the Canyon County station.

Farris, a former paramedic at the station, had been trying to crawl under the door after the ambulance left to respond to a nonexistent traffic accident she'd called in a few minutes earlier.

Caldwell Police Chief Chris Allgood says it may never be known why Farris was trying to gain access to the station

But according to a police report obtained by KBCI-TV, her sister told investigators that Farris may have been going after prescription medication stored in the station.

Louis Farrakhan: H1N1 Vaccine Developed to Kill People

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan said the H1N1 flu vaccine was developed to kill people, UPI reported.

"The Earth can't take 6.5 billion people. We just can't feed that many. So what are you going to do? Kill as many as you can," Farrakhan reportedly said during an event in Memphis, Tenn. "We have to develop a science that kills them and makes it look as though they died from some disease."

The 76-year-old added that many wise people won't take the vaccine, according to UPI.

His comments were made during an event to observe the group's Holy Day of Atonement, and also marked the 14th anniversary of the Million Man March in Washington.

Sticks and Stones May Break Our Bones,...

But World Championship rings make everything feel better,...

More Left Coast whining over last night's emasculating of the Dodgers:

Bow-WOW!

I thought we were past this, but now we've got the Choking Dogs showing us a new trick, rolling over and playing dead.

The Phillies have the momentum, the home-field advantage for the clincher, last year's World Series MVP Cole Hamels on the mound, and Cliff Lee ready to go next if needed.

OK, so things are looking a bit bleak.

"They'll show up," Manager Joe Torre countered, and if he's talking about George Sherrill and Jonathan Broxton, forget it, the Dodgers are goners.

The Dodgers had only one chance to win this series, get the most from their second-rate starters, stay close and then mow down the Phillies in the late innings with Sherrill and Broxton.

(snip)

Halloween, as well as the two days that follow, would have been World Series Games 3, 4 and 5 played in Dodger Stadium.

You get this far with the best record in the National League, the home-field advantage and now everyone in the country has good reason to be ticked.

As you know, Fox will be broadcasting the World Series and it likes to put the camera on the face of every single fan sitting in the stands, these fans as ugly as any in the country.

Nowhere in America are people more angry than those living here. During Game 3 they had their humorless furry mascot put on boxing gloves and take on someone who was supposed to be an L.A. fan, sunglasses, cellphone and all.

The furry mascot punched him out, much to the delight of the folks here who love a dash of violence with their sports entertainment.

During Game 4 the furry mascot took a small Dodgers blue helmet, placed it on the ground and then pulverized it, much to the delight of the locals. Same tired skits, by the way, they employed a year ago. (And we beat your sorry, granola-fed asses a year ago, too!)

But this is considered entertainment here, the only bright spot if they draw the Yankees now, getting a look in the mirror at fans who might remind them of themselves.

Waa-aa-aa-aa!!!

Untied Nations Showing Their Anti-Semetic Roots Again!

From the BBC:

UN backs Gaza 'war crimes' report

The UN Human Rights Council has backed a report into the Israeli offensive in Gaza that accuses both Israel and Palestinian militants of war crimes.

The report by Richard Goldstone calls for credible investigations by Israel and Hamas, and suggests international war crimes prosecutions if they do not.

Twenty-five countries voted for the resolution, while six were against.

Both Israel and the US opposed official endorsement of the report, saying it would set back Middle East peace hopes.

GOLDSTONE REPORT VOTE
For: Argentina, Brazil, China, Russia and 21 others

Against: US, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Ukraine
Abstentions: Belgium, Bosnia, Burkina-Faso, Cameroon, Gabon, Japan, Mexico, Norway, South Korea, Slovenia and Uruguay

No vote: UK, France and 3 others

The UN's High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, meanwhile insisted that now was the time to end the "culture of impunity" which continues to prevail in Israel and the Palestinian Territories.

In contrast, the Israeli government had lobbied intensively against the resolution, saying the Goldstone report was biased against Israel and removed the right of nations to defend themselves against terrorists.

How apropos as this is the 50th Annivesary of what has become of our televised media:

From Breitbart:

On September 10th of this year the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) posted a press release informing the world that “from October 19-25, more than 60 network TV shows [will] spotlight the power and personal benefits of service,” and that this “unprecedented block of TV programming is the first wave of a multi-year ‘I Participate’ campaign.”

On its face this all sounds rather benign in that silly, liberal do-gooder kind of way. The networks have launched these kinds of campaigns before and other than some clunky exposition awkwardly inserted into your favorite show to meet the mandate — no harm, no foul.

Why Soccer Still Sucks

Associated Press
LONDON - Major League Soccer's commissioner is exploring ways to move its season to a winter schedule to align itself more closely with the sport's international calendar. But the move, which would be an attempt to help the United States host the World Cup, could prove problematic.

The league's newest expansion team, the Philadelphia Union, starts next season and will play its home games at a stadium being built in Chester. "And we don't have any plans for a roof," Union president Tom Veit said last night.

Key to achieving that will be building more stadiums with roofs to protect against the worst of the American winter, Garber said.

"Perhaps we have to start thinking about roofed stadiums at some point. But do we have to have a fan base that is developed enough to be immune to the weather, like they do for American football, where they will come out to watch a game regardless of the climate?"

Well,..at least in football, you can field 22 players and actually SCORE more than once every third game!!

This Administration Gets Funnier Every Day,..

Ethics from these Chicago-bred Democrats? ROFLMAO!

K Street is awash in anger over new regulations designed to limit influence peddling in Washington, CQ Politics reported Monday. The new policy, announced Sept. 23 by President Obama's "ethics czar," Norm Eisen, prevents federally registered lobbyists from serving on "agency advisory boards and commissions" -- private-sector advisory panels created in the 1970s to give input to the government on various issues. The regulations could decimate the ranks of lobbyists who have been serving on the panels, and who the Obama administration sees as special-interest agents with an unhealthy proximity to federal policy.

Government agencies seem to have acted on the administration's word quickly. Roll Call obtained a letter sent last week from the Commerce Department and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative saying that lobbyists currently serving on the panels would not be reappointed when they re-charter in 2010 and 2011.

Private-sector clients will now have to pass up registered lobbyists for others who qualify to serve on the panels, and the prospect of a mass exodus from the highly prized positions has not made certain lobbyists happy. "There is fury," said a lobbyist who sits on one of the committees. "Absolute fury."

So Much for Civility,....

This coming from the guy who spoon-fed us Clintonian bulls**t for years and kept a straight face doing it!

WASHINGTON (Oct. 5) – Fox News anchor and conservative commentator Glenn Beck was taking incoming fire Sunday from both ends of the political spectrum, but especially from Democratic strategist James Carville.
"I think he's nuts, OK?," the outspoken Democrat said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union."

"Just out-and-out nuts. And I also think that he's a blatant hypocrite," Carville said. "Here's somebody that sits on his show … weeping about how much he loves America and … and then he's absolutely giddy when his country doesn't get the Olympics. And this is — I'll tell you another thing about Glenn Beck. He wouldn't know the difference between a football, a bat and a hockey court. This guy is not — he's just all — he's just all weeping."

CBS Outed?

Gay characters are more common than ever on broadcast TV this season, with representation making gains over last year's all-time high.

According to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation's 14th annual survey, 18 LGBT regular characters will appear on broadcast series this season, representing 3% of the characters on TV.

GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios said the increase is particularly meaningful coming after last year, when representation doubled from 2007.

"Last year's (survey) looked like it might be a blip, but the spike seems to be a sustained trend in increased number of gay characters," Barrios said. "It's a critical way toward changing the hearts and minds of America."

ABC continues to lead in scripting gay characters, with eight. Barrios said NBC (three) and Fox (four) have made significant strides; only two years ago, Fox had no regular gay characters. The CW has two this year.

CBS, however, has no gay characters out of 132 series regulars.

"CBS alone is a network that continues to weed out gay and lesbian programming," Barrios said. "They're really out of step with network television."

While broadcast continues to increase its LGBT representation, the number of gay characters on mainstream cable networks is down to 25 from last year's 32.

The vast majority of this season's gay characters are men. Only one -- Dr. Arizona Robbins on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" -- is a lesbian, and three other female characters are bisexual. There are no transgender characters.

Barrios singled out Fox's "Glee" for particular praise, citing last week's episode that showed a teenage boy struggling with his sexual orientation and discussing the matter with his father.

"It is a much deeper and fuller portrayal of this issue than what we've seen before," he said.

OK,..is it just me? Who cares how many gay characters are on TV? Haven't we stopped counting the number of black, Latino and Asian characters? Why gays? Just more pushing a socialist agenda in Hollyweird!

"O" - "O" Now "The One" Has Screwed Chicago!

I guess the left will label me a racist scumbag because I'm laughing at THREE black celebs....

O NO!! CHICAGO LOSES 2016 OLYMPICS
COPENHAGEN, Denmark (CBS) ―

Despite four years, millions of dollars in planning and a last-ditch pitch from President Obama, the Chicago 2016 Olympic bid ultimately fell short.

The City of Chicago was eliminated in the first round of voting, before any host city was selected.

An expert called it the "biggest shock in IOC history."

Supporters gathered in Chicago were equally shocked. Many left the rally in tears.

Tokyo was also eliminated in the first round.

Even the president's star billing wasn't enough to put Chicago over the top in what some experts said was the tightest race for the Games in its history.

The contest lasted four years and endured several stumbling blocks. But many believed that when President Barack Obama elected to go to Copenhagen to deliver the closing remarks of Chicago's final presentation, the move would seal the deal to send the games to Chicago.

But the president's pitch, along with the star power of First Lady Michelle Obama and TV queen Oprah Winfrey, couldn't sway enough votes.

Caught With His Worldwide Pants Down,...

A longtime CBS News producer is accused of attempting to extort $2 million from late night comedian David Letterman, a move that forced the “Late Show” host to confess to his studio audience and millions of viewers that he had engaged in sexual relationships with his female employees for years.

The alleged blackmailer is Robert (Joe) Halderman, a producer of the true-crime show “48 Hours,” current and former staffers of the program told FOXNews.com Friday. Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s name, but network officials confirm that he has been arrested.

“Everyone there has worked with him,” staffers told FOXNews.com of Halderman. “He’s a big deal there. He’s directed news specials that the CBS documentary team has produced, 9/11 stuff, Olympics, just about every big story."

Sources tell FOXNews.com that the nature of Halderman’s assignments would likely have given him access to loads of sensitive information over the years.

According to a report from MyFOXNY, the woman at the center of the scandal is Halderman's girlfriend and Letterman's former assistant, Stephanie Birkitt. The details of the alleged affair — which reportedly went on for years — were outlined in her diary and through personal correspondence, MyFOXNY reports.

Letterman said that "this whole thing has been quite scary." But he mixed in jokes while outlining what had happened to him, seeming to confuse a laughing audience at Thursday's taping about whether the story was true.

Click here for a clip of Letterman addressing the affairs, extortion.

Letterman's "Late Show" audience was the first to hear the story, which came as a shock since the 62-year-old Letterman had married longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko in March. The couple began dating in 1986 and have a son, Harry, born in November 2003. Fatherhood and his heart surgery in 2000 had seemed to mellow Letterman, who took over as the most popular late-night comedy host this summer after NBC replaced Jay Leno with Conan O'Brien on the "Tonight" show.

Obama's Pants on Fire?

Well, playing the race card has failed, so,....

The ill will between the White House and Glenn Beck is no secret. The popular Fox News host has said he believes President Obama of having "a deep-seated hatred of white people" and mounted relentless on-air campaigns against two administration officials. After he took Van Jones, the "green jobs czar," and Yosi Sergant, the communications director at the National Endowment of Arts, to task for what Beck said was inappropriate political work, both men quickly resigned.

(snip)

On Wednesday, the White House posted a "Reality Check" on its Web site blog, pushing back directly against Beck and his employer. "Last night Fox News continued its disregard for the facts in an attempt to smear the Administration's efforts to win the Olympics for the United States," wrote Jesse Lee, the White House's online program director. "In the past, hosting the Olympics has been a source of pride and unity for the country, but once again Fox News' Glenn Beck program has shown that nothing is worthy of respect if it can be used as part of a partisan attack to boost ratings."

And the Class Act Award Goes To,...

As with everything else about the 2009 season, it wasn't easy or predictable as the Phillies clinched the National League East title last night with a 10-3 win over the Houston Astros.

If that description seems too dramatic for a season in which the Phils led the division since late May and secured their third consecutive title with a cushion of four games to play, you weren't paying attention.

Even though their division championships in 2007 and 2008 weren't assured until the final weekend and required them to catch and overtake a front-runner, this title might have been even more of a struggle.

And the class acts?

- Other then the automatic bragging rights that come with winning the World Series, no posturing from the players this year.

- Charlie Manuel showing his faith in Brad Lidge by bringing him in for the last out of the game

- The team spraying the "HK" sign in the outfield with champagne in memory of Harry Kalas
