Typically Obama-like, America Finds Itself Saying "Oops, Sorry" Again!

Egyptian protesters got a chance to speak directly to Hillary Clinton for the first time, and they weren't exactly overcome with gratitude. Sample questions she fielded online via an Egyptian site:

* "Does America really support democracy? If yes indeed, why the US was late in its support for the Egyptian revolution?"
* "The attitude of the US during the Egyptian revolution was to support the Egyptian regime first. Then, when the revolution turned successful, the US switched sides and supported the Egyptian youth. . . . Why?"

As the Washington Post notes, Clinton stuck to the company line: The US did the best it could in a complicated situation with an old ally. "I think that we were walking a balance, because we wanted to be sure our message did not push anyone into doing something that we disagreed with, namely violence, which we tried to, in every way possible, prevent," she responded, as recounted by Fox News. "This is a new world we're all in together," she added.

Is Yellow the New Shade of Blue?

Blue as in "Blue States," that is,....

Lt. Commander Phillip Francis Queeg, "Old Yellow Stain"

Gentle readers,
In the wake of one of the worst ballot box shellackings ever witnessed, the Democratic Party, having raised the ire of Main Street America, was swept from power in Congress and is essentially hamstrung in the Senate.

And the way they get back into the good graces of the American populous is to pick up their toys and run away from the very life's blood of our political system: the representative democrat process??

As we witness in Wisconsin, and now in Indiana, the party of big government and Socialist ideology would rather run away from another tongue lashing than stand their ground and fight! It's not making a political statement, nor is it even grandstanding. In a word, the Democratic Party is committing that most foul of social acts: COWARDICE!

From 2006 through 2010 the Republican Party, we were told, had been outmaneuvered and marginalized to the point of being a fringe element in the political process. They were told to sit down, shut up and do what Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid told them to do.

And as we sat back and gave Nancy enough rope to hang herself, the Republicans have had their patience paid off with the majority they deserve.

You'd think the Democrats would learn from such an example? No,..instead they chose to emulate THIS fictional character:

Its disgusting, disgraceful and shameful! But what do you expect from a party led by a man who's apologized to the world for all of America's good will and runs from every international fight he encounters??

**THAT'S MY OPINION AND YOU'RE ENTITLED TO IT!!**

From the Forgotten History Files,...

Oprah called on President Obama's critics on Friday to show "a certain level of respect.”

"I feel that everybody has a learning curve, and I feel that the reason why I was willing to step out for him was because I believed in his integrity and I believed in his heart," the influential TV host said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” in Chicago.

Of the negative mood of the country, Oprah added, “I think everybody complaining ought to try it for once.”

She said the presidency is a position that “holds a sense of authority and governance over us all,” and that “even if you’re not in support of his policies, there needs to be a certain level of respect.”

And where were you and the rest of the media calling for "respect" when THIS was the standard picture of the last president ??

What's Next for Egypt?

Published February 11, 2011
| FoxNews.com

CAIRO – Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has stepped down and handed control of the country to the military, Vice President Omar Suleiman said Friday in an address on state television.

The announcement touched off a wave of jubilation throughout Cairo's Tehrir Square, where tens of thousands of anti-government protesters had gathered demanding Mubarak's ouster hours after he failed to announce his resignation in an address on Thursday.

"In these difficult circumstances that the country is passing through, President Hosni Mubarak has decided to leave the position of the presidency," Suleiman said. He has commissioned the armed forces council to direct the issues of the state."

Hours later, President Obama said "Egypt will never be the same."

Yes, what shape WILL Egypt take in the future? In the days of Bush's "With us or against us," approach to foreign affairs, the very fear of an angry and well-armed America would say Egypt's new face will be an open hand and a peaceful eye looking Westward.

But we live in the days post-Obama World Apologia Tour. The Muslim Brotherhood has already destroyed any vestiges of a secular Muslim-majority Turkey under his watch and are clearly working the scenes in Cairo as well.

Just as the attacks in Kenya and Tanzania and the USS Cole pre-saged the 9/11 massacre, the repeated attacks on Syriac Catholics in Iraq and the absence of Coptic Christians in the Egyptian uprising should pre-sage a potentially seismic shift in the Islamic and Arabic world if we're not careful!

I don't hold out much hope,....

Maybe We Should DROP You in the Next Election, Franny!

PHILADELPHIA - It was a stunning admission Thursday from a Philadelphia City Council member who is ready to accept a big payout from the Deferred Retirement Option Plan but stay on the job.

You know about DROP. City workers sign up and set a retirement date up to four years in the future. Their pension account is frozen, and deposited in a guaranteed interest-bearing account. When they retire, they get that money in a lump sum payment and, then, their full pensions.

A Boston College study shows the program may be costing Philadelphia more than $22 million dollars a year. What's more, some elected officials and higher-ups are collecting the pay out and then returning to work.

Fox 29 Political Reporter Bruce Gordon reported that Councilman Frank Rizzo may have said more than he wanted to Thursday.

Rizzo is a Republican at-large councilman, meaning he runs citywide, not just in a single district. He's been in office since 1996, and is eligible for a DROP check of nearly $200,000.

Some council members have claimed they signed up for drop with the full expectation of retiring but changed their mind.

Here's MY Choice,...
