Apparently, the Playing Field Has Become Too Level for Some,....

There's a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to FOX and to MSNBC: "Out. Off. End. Goodbye." It would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and more importantly, in their future.

George Soros is Being Funded by Radical Muslims!

Juan Williams may be gone from National Public Radio's line-up of commentators, but billionaire liberal icon George Soros has donated $1.8 million to hire 100 new reporters for 50 of its member stations.

The money will go to launch a project called Impact of Government, which Soros' Open Society Foundation says will "bring greater transparency and accountability to the workings of state capitals across the country."
The group, which describes its mission as building "tolerant democracies whose governments are accountable to their citizens," calls it a response to the decline in news coverage of state legislatures.

"A strong democracy requires a diverse, independent, and highly functioning watchdog press to help people hold the government and private sector accountable," Ann Beeson, executive director of U.S. Programs at the Open Society Foundations, said in a statement earlier this week.

Vivian Schiller, NPR president and CEO, said the boost puts the public radio stations in a better position than other news outlets to cover the impact of state government on local communitie

And yet, in NP-CR's quest for a diverse, open society, it throws one of its own under the bus for being,..OMG!,...open and independent about his views on Islamoterrorists!!!

With listeners, pundits, and even some politicians saying National Public Radio made a bad call in firing news analyst Juan Williams, the news organization's ombudsman commented on Thursday night, saying that the firing was poorly handled, but necessary.

"Even though NPR handled this situation badly, the fact remains that NPR must uphold its journalistic standards," Alicia Shepard wrote in a blog post.  (To quote Samuel L Jackson in "Long Kiss Goodnight;" "What's the weather like on your planet?")

Williams, a Fox News contributor and 10-year NPR veteran, was fired from the popular public radio syndicate for making comments on "The O'Reilly Factor" about what he describes as his "visceral reaction" to airplane passengers in "Muslim garb." "I get worried. I get nervous," he said.

Shepard said the "hastily made" announcement triggered a "public relations nightmare" that could have been avoided. "NPR could have waited until his contract ran out, or possibly suspended him pending a review," she writes.

Its NOT Bigotry To Speak the Truth!!

Oh, wait,....I forgot: we live in the glorious age of the enlightened one - he who bows before our juniors and denigrates our standing in the world's hierachy.  To speak ill of our enemy is now bigotry?

For making THIS statement on Bill O'Reilly's show:

Well, actually, I hate to say this to you because I don't want to get your ego going. But I think you're right. I think, look, political correctness can lead to some kind of paralysis where you don't address reality.

I mean, look, Bill, I'm not a bigot. You know the kind of books I've written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.

Now, I remember also when the Times Square bomber was at court -- this was just last week -- he said: "the war with Muslims, America's war is just beginning, first drop of blood." I don't think there’s any way to get away from these facts.

And then Glenn Greenwald continually ties Williams to the likes of Helen Thomas (a pro-leftist and anti-Semite), Octavia Nasr (a twit who tweeted her prejucdice and blew away her impartiality) and Rich Sanchez (another anti-Semitic idiot with a big mouth).

There's more of the same Salon, liberal whining containing their view of the easily-ignored First Amendment, but if I puke, I'll ruin the keyboard!  Read at your own risk!

Helen Thomas Succumbs to Absorbine Jr Overdose,....

"I'll get you my pretty! And your little dog, too! Eh-heh-heh-heh"

White House correspondent Helen Thomas retired today amid a brouhaha surrounding her comments that Israeli Jews should "go home," reports USA Today. The 89-year-old Hearst columnist had covered every administration since JFK's, but succumbed to intense scrutiny that included a White House admonition, being dropped by her speaking agency, and being asked not to give a high school commencement address. Thomas, the author of several books, missed this morning's White House press conference.

Behind the Smoke & Mirrors of O's Plans,...

This is my first post for AOL Real Estate. I am honored to be part of the new AOL.

But if this is AOL Real Estate, why then am I writing about jobs? Because employment growth is key to ending the real estate depression (yes, depression) we have all been suffering through for more than a year. The key to real estate recovery is more jobs, simple as that. And unfortunately, according to my friends who attended this week's White House Jobs Summit, we can expect little to no real help on jobs from the Obama Administration.

This White House event was a sham, a photo opp meant solely to influence public opinion without actually doing anything, according to attendees. This can be seen, for example, in the coverage by USA Today, which proudly quoted statements by the President about what had been accomplished in the sessions, yet USA Today said their interview took place two hours before the event even started.

Read on, folks,..it gets better (or worse!)

And the Healthcare Rationing Has Already Begun

Creeping in on little cat's feet, comes the first acknowledgment of medical rationing from the Obamessiah's unofficial Surgeon General:

We're now on the same playing fields as European Health models??

1900 screenings to save 1 life??

And THIS coming from the queen of medical objectivity, huh??

One More Time, FOLKS: NO MEDIA BIAS!

The refusal by ABC and NBC to run a national ad critical of President Obama's health care reform plan is raising questions from the group behind the spot -- particularly in light of ABC's health care special aired in prime time last June and hosted at the White House.

The 33-second ad by the League of American Voters, which features a neurosurgeon who warns that a government-run health care system will lead to the rationing of procedures and medicine, began airing two weeks ago on local affiliates of ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS. On a national level, however, ABC and NBC have refused to run the spot in its present form.

"It's a powerful ad," said Bob Adams, executive director of the League of American Voters, a national nonprofit group with 15,000 members who advocate individual liberty and government accountability. "It tells the truth and it really highlights one of the biggest vulnerabilities and problems with this proposed legislation, which is it rations health care and disproportionately will decimate the quality of health care for seniors."

TRY NO TO LAUGH TOO HARD AT THE NEXT PARAGRAPH:

"The ABC Television Network has a long-standing policy that we do not sell time for advertising that presents a partisan position on a controversial public issue," spokeswoman Susan Sewell said in a written statement. "Just to be clear, this is a policy for the entire network, not just ABC News."

Big Brother "O" is Watching You!

1984 or 2009??

Liberal Democrats have launched a war of outrageous hate speech directed at Americans who haved dared to express opposition to Obama's health care "reform."

First, the Democratic National Committee launched a Web video charging "desperate Republicans and their well-funded allies" with "organizing angry mobs" to "destroy President Obama." Then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) accused town hall protestors of "carrying swastikas."

In response this morning, MRC President Brent Bozell called on the mainstream media "to report on this hate speech, who is behind it and how vicious it has become."

Mr. Bozell's full August 5 statement is printed below:

Liberals are not only grasping at the straws of desperation to protect this radical government takeover, they have crossed into unabashed hate speech. Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity have never said anything like this. Yet they are accused of hate speech. To put it another way, if Limbaugh and Hannity are guilty of hate speech, how much worse are these liberals?

The third in line to the Presidency just characterized Americans exercising their First Amendment rights as Nazis. Imagine if the Bush White House had launched the same attacks against Iraq War demonstrators. They would have chastised, lambasted and made a target of destruction by every national media outlet.

The media have a responsibility to report on this hate speech, who is behind it and how vicious it has become.

This is Too Good to Be True!

Peering behind the curtain and exposing the Obamistake's lies are an "embarrassment?"

NEW YORK (Aug. 3) -- He's become a publicity nightmare for CNN, embarrassed his boss and hosted a show that seemed to contradict the network's "no bias" brand. And on top of all that, his ratings are slipping.

How does Lou Dobbs keep his job? (Thick Kneepads?? - BA)

It's not a simple answer. CNN insists it is standing behind Dobbs, despite calls for his head from critics of his reporting on "birthers" — those who believe President Barack Obama wasn't born in the United States despite convincing evidence to the contrary. The "birthers" believe Obama was born in Kenya, and thus not eligible to be president.

Dobbs' work has been so unpopular that even Ann Coulter has criticized him.
Dobbs has acknowledged that he believes Obama was born in Hawaii. But he gives airtime to disbelievers, and has said the president should try to put questions fully to rest by releasing a long version of his birth certificate. He's twice done stories on his show after the public leak of a memo from CNN U.S. President Jon Klein saying that "it seems this story is dead."

Dobbs hasn't made it any easier by using his radio show to fight back at critics, who he called "limp-minded, lily-livered lefty lemmings." He considered going on CNN tormentor Bill O'Reilly's Fox News show to thank him (O'Reilly says the birthers are wrong, but he defended Dobbs' right to talk about it).
"He's embarrassed himself and he's embarrassed CNN," said Brooks Jackson, a former CNN correspondent. "And that's not a good thing for any network that wants to be seen as a reputable, nonpartisan news organization."
