Bounty put on top Iraqi leaders

By Steven R. Hurst

BAGHDAD - Iraqi insurgents, run out of their stronghold in the northern city of Tal Afar for the second time in a year, counterattacked with an Internet propaganda offensive yesterday that put a bounty of almost $200,000 on the heads of top Iraqi leaders.

Interior Minister Bayan Jabr said the insurgents were turning to Internet threats because the Tal Afar offensive had badly shaken them.

Defense Minister Sadoun al-Dulaimi kept up his recent criticism of Syria, whose eastern border is about 50 miles from Tal Afar. "Syria is not only the loophole, but it is the evil's gateway on this country," he said.

U.S. and Iraqi officials allege that Syria has failed to stop the influx of foreign fighters through its territory.

Brave words against fellow Arabs coming from a people and government the MSM would have us believe will stab the US in the back the moment we leave their country.
