The True Platform of the Democratic Party!

OK,..sorry I'm behind the data flow here, but other obligations kept me away from the computer yesterday.

As we already know, Connecticut Sen. Joe Liberman (D-cent guy) got f**ked by his own party for (gasp) thinking for himself. Ned Lamont is nothing more than a puppet, parroting the mantra of George Soros, Howard Dean, and MoveOn.Org!

You'd have to be blind not to see the 2006 Democratic platform now:destroy our defenses, open our homeland vulnerablities, and "talk" our way into another 9/11 attack! Think it won't happen? Read here!

And many others are seeing this "victory" for what it is:

So now that the wackadoo wing of the party has a bloody scalp, what are they going to do with it? Wave it at Islamic terrorists in Iraq and Lebanon and Afghanistan and Indonesia and Great Britain and Spain and Israel and New York and declare peace? That will work for sure. They better also wear armor and duck.

Lieberman is the first casualty of the war against the war on terror. If last night's results are a window on the party's tilt, then a huge slice of the Democratic party is ready to sit out the war to protect America. God help us if the Republicans also get the wobblies. Let's hope the Connecticut Condition isn't contagious. And let's hope last night's decision is overturned.

It's still a shame to see a statesman like Mr. Lieberman brought low like this. The most admirable thing about the man is his willingness to buck his party to stand up for what he believes is right.

Though a solid liberal on most social and economic issues, he was one of the few Senate Democrats to support the 1991 Gulf War, and he earned the scorn of many Hollywood liberals for attacking their role in degrading the public square.

(snip)

What makes Mr. Lieberman so valuable in the Senate is his ability to think for himself, as well as his thoroughgoing civility. We wish there were more Joe Liebermans in the Senate, from both parties.

It's good to know that despite the insult delivered by Democratic primary voters, there's at least some chance that the Senate won't be losing the Lieberman it's got.
