Its My Blogoversary!
Yes, gentle readers, 4 years ago today the blogosphere was invaded by a Star Trek-obsessed paramedic with a lot on his mind.
I didn't have a blogfather, nor have I blogfathered many others.
That was 27,100+ visitors ago (a blink of the eye to uber-bloggers like Tony Phyrillas, ALa and Wyatt, but that's another story,...)
I've made 1781 postings.
I came here to just post what was on my mind back then. Unfortunately, a major election got in the way.
In 2004, the choice was easy: a standing president in a time of war versus a yellow-stained dilettante who'd rather talk than fight.
Now, in just a few days, we stand as a nation at a cross roads: "Change" our direction to one of socialized medicine, egregious taxation, and capitulation to our enemies (note to the Obamessiah: you didn't win the nomination, you're opponent lost it because she ran on the history of just such a plan. It didn't work 8 years ago and left our guard down, why repeat the same mistakes?) or forge ahead with a strong defense, a strong economy and a true moral compass (despite what the DailyKrudites, the nutroots and the Young, Deluded Socialists think, George W Bush can't run for a third term!)
In four years, I've made many friends. I've seen some fall by the wayside, given to frustration, technological issues, or just life in general.
I've tried my hand at political rallying. And to my friends in the Red November Initiative: I'm sorry I didn't give as much time to the project as a I should and I've let you all down.
This isn't a farewell address. In fact, its far from it:
To paraphrase the late, great Charlton Heston - YOU'LL TAKE MY BLOG WHEN YOU PRY MY KEYBOARD FROM MY COLD, DEAD HANDS!
Now, on to November 4th!!!!!!!
BTW - Its also TheFed's birthday. He's old. Just don't remind him,....
