Hey, Slick Willie, Does the Truth Hurt??
ABC's upcoming miniseries "The Path to 9/11" is generating a firestorm among members of the Clinton administration, who claim the two-part, made-for-TV film is filled with factual errors and lies.
Three members of the administration — former Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright, former National Security Adviser Samuel R. Berger and Clinton aide Bruce Lindsey, who now heads the Clinton Foundation — have sent letters to Walt Disney Company, parent of ABC, demanding that it re-edit or pull the five-hour film, scheduled for air Sunday and Monday nights without commercial interruption.
(The TrekMedic notes: this is the same Sandy Berger who stuffed documents down his pants and got caught,....anything credibility he has objecting to this film went out the window, IMN-SHO)
Albright, who is featured prominently in the film, wrote a letter to Disney chief Robert A. Iger, complaining that she had requested a copy of the film, but that ABC had not given her one, according to a New York Times report.
Albright wrote that she had been told by people who had seen the film that it “depicts scenes that never happened, events that never took place, decisions that were never made and conversations that never occurred.”
“It asserts as fact things that are not fact,” she wrote, according to the Times.
To use Clintonesque language, define "facts," you harpy!
Anthony Tafoya over at Opinionnation Times also posts the cavalcade of miscues from the Clinton Adminstration in a reply to a commenter:
B) Clinton himself said that his biggest mistake was not getting Osama Bin Laden and he did nothing in the wake of:
1993, Feb. 26: The World Trade Center was bombed by Al Qaeda. Six people killed and over 1,000 injured.
1993, Oct. 4: 18 US servicemen killed by an Al Qaeda-trained Somalia militia
1996, June 25: 19 US servicemen killed in an attack on a US military housing complex in Saudi Arabia. Al Qaeda and Hezbollah were involved
1998, Feb. 22: Osama Bin Laden issues fatwa against the United States. Bin Laden calls on every Muslim to kill Americans.
1998, Aug. 7: 222 people killed in an Al Qaeda attack on US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania
2000, Oct. 12: 17 American sailors killed in a suicide attack on the USS Cole perpetrated by Al Qaeda.
Then of course after doing nothing: 2001, Sept. 11: 3,000 people murdered in the worst attack on US soil.
C) I have pointed out Clinton's appeasement many times and the insinuation that I care about Bush's talking points of the day is way off.
