A Voice of Protest Silenced

This weekend, the actor, Leon Askin passed away. In the US he was probably most famous for his role as General Burkhalter on Hogan's Heroes.

Along with fellow cast members Werner Klemperer and Robert Clary, Mr. Askin was a European Jew who fled the Nazi persecution.

Ironically, all three eventually went on to star in a show that allowed them to further belittle Nazi Germany and the idea of Nazism in general.

Ain't America great??

I had no idea....
No idea he was actually a persecuted Jew, and no idea he passes away.

Isn't it funny how life throws you little curves to get back at those who belittle you? RIP.
