Auschwitz, Blue States, and Pink Triangles

I've been ruminating on these subjects for the balance of the week and, as Mel Brooks (as Comicus) said "I coalesce the vapor of human experience into a viable medium."

I've read on MTA's blog (as well as several other Pacific NW blogs) about the City of Spokane and an all-gay special services neighborhood.

Now, for a group that constantly calls for equality and recognition, why would they want to segregate themselves into a specific area of the city??

Imagine for a moment, if you will, if the government forced gays into a segregated neighborhood and made them wear pink triangles to identify them??? Imagine further that troops kept them in this neighborhood at gunpoint.

Think it can't happen?? Ever hear of Warsaw, Poland around 1939-1940??

I don't think I'll ever understand Blue Staters,...they want diversity BUT NIMBY, they want inclusion AND separation at the same time.

My head would hurt more, but I'm listening to Katie Melua's "Call Off the Search" right now.
