More on the Oscars

I should have entered this into my poll:

What about "The Passion of the Christ?"

Yes,...Mel Gibson's "Passion" was passed over by the Oscars. There are many prevailing reasons (not necessarily mine) why this occurred:

  • Many studio honchos power brokers are Jewish and the rumored anti-Semitism in this movie turned them off or caused them to boycott its viewing.
  • In the post-election Conservative climate, Michael Moore's "comedy" has all but disappeared. Snubbing "Passion" is Holleftywood's payback.
  • Oddly enough, people thought it should be listed as a"foreign language film" because it was in Aramaic! (I s**t you not!)
  • It isn't the usual dramatic dribble that makes it big these days. Gone are the days of movies like "Ben Hur" and "The Ten Commandments," when religion wasn't considered a bad word.
Oh, well. 20 years from now, we'll see which movie is still being played on TV,..."Passion" or "Fahrenheit,..whatever"
