Scott Peterson gets the death penalty!

Now,...knowing how quickly the wheels of justice grind in California, that means my grandchildren will probably witness the event.

If even then, Trek. Kevin Cooper was refused clemency by the Guvenator in Jan 2004, but the 9th Circuit Court - no words can describe the way I feel about that court on any level - decided to grant him a stay nonetheless. Even as of Nov of this year, they were planning on doing more DNA testing on the evidence.

The timeline? Cooper's been convicted and on death row since 1983.

Maybe everyone should lobby for Peterson getting relocated to Texas in the interest of saving valuable CA tax dollars.

True, Mata. As I'm perusing the news, I see TWO stories related to Peterson's death penalty.

One simply states the obvious: California doesn't execute it death row inmates, so Peterson may well die from old age than a needle. The other comments on the belabored appeals process that will delay carrying out the death sentence.
