"Blue" Christmas!
Today, several items of note from the Blue Stater's counter offensive:
First - on the eponymous blog, "A la Gauche," it appears that the Blue Staters are upset with Time Magazine's awarding of "Person of the Year" to GWB. After numerous letters to the editor, Time has now cowed to the Neo-Socialists' pressure , stating "it is not award, but rather a designation." Amazing! This is pure Clintonian doublespeak!
Second - there is a movement afoot amongst the Blue Staters to try to regroup in 2008. In the website, Choose the Blue, the Blue Staters are trying to use economic might to fund to '08 run. The site lists various companies that have supported the Neo-Socialist agenda and asks for their future support to enable more contributions to 2008 candidates. Well, I say this site cuts both ways! Let the 54% of America with their heads screwed in right BOYCOTT these companies and drive them to bankruptcy! HA!

I have seen comments left by people who said "I cancelled my subscription to Time as soon as I heard". You subscribed to a magazine because you agree with it's views, and one issue is enough to make you cancel it? Talk about accepting other's views...
Time’s Man of The Year is a distinction that they created because they didn’t have a cover story one year. So instead of reporting news, they decided to create news. A dangerous precedent that continues today.
The Buy Blue crowd is not the brightest of the bunch. They want to boycott Wal-Mart in favor of Target because Wal-Mart gave more money to Republicans then they did to Democrats, whereas Target gave more to Dems Than Repubs. Ok, Good logic so far, right?
Wait a moment… Wal-Mart gave more to Repus, however their donations to the Dems was much higher than Target’s donation to the Dems. So they are urging their base to boycott large contributors out of spite, even though it will hurt them. Yeah…great logic.
It’s just one more example of symbolism over substance.
Until they learn that they have to get a message and a plan, they will just continue to spiral down into a void. You can’t base a platform on I can do better because they are so bad. You HAVE to have a plan.
