The Truth? You Can't HANDLE the Truth!

Apparently, that's the motto of the Daily Kos-monauts.

Lee Stranahan, an Obama supporter and self-admitting liberal, had the AUDACITY to HOPE that some CHANGE could occur in his party by bringing John Edward's "Slick Willie" moment to light last week. (You can't find it on Kos' site anymore,....hmm,..not that I'll link to it and give that liberal prick a free pass on my blog!))

The result?

Mr. Stranahan has been BANNED! SHUNNED! OSTRACIZED! by the minions of the Kos-mosphere!

Hi there. This is Lee Stranahan writing - I'm using my friend Alan Bernhoft's account to leave this message here. Thanks to everyone who's said nice things in the past few days. I've been reading and I appreciate it.

A few notes on the events that lead to my being banned. A lot of people have said in comments that I was banned because there 'wasn't a shred of evidence!' and many are still saying that.

That's not the case - there was evidence. The reason I was right and they were wrong is that they choose to ignore that evidence and I didn't. And I mean 'ignore' quite literally - they made a decision to not even look at the evidence based solely on it's source.

And despite the efforts of some rogue elements in the Kos-mosphere to bring Stranahn back:

Stranahan began writing about the Edwards affair about two weeks ago.

After seeing a few of his diaries, all of which quickly filled up with comments damning him to hell, I got curious enough to click on his links to the various deconstructions of the story. What I found convinced me that he was right. That there was enough evidence to conclude that more likely than not, Edwards had had an affair and was caught at the hotel of Rielle Hunter. (Edwards now admits that he WAS at the hotel and the National Enquirer story was correct.)

Meanwhile, Stranahan was hide-rated into oblivion, all without any kind of justification for it. And eventually, he was banned from the site.

I thought that was really wrong. Even if he HADN'T been vindicated, I would think it was wrong. And now that there is no more doubt that he was telling the truth, I think every effort should be made to re-instate his account.

This news is shitty. I keep feeling terrible for Elizabeth, grateful that Edwards didn't win Iowa or get named as the VP, incredulous that he would behave so dishonorably AND...sad that Stranahan lost his account over it.

Will you join me in trying to get it back?

(As of this writing the poll, with 153 votes, stands at 81% in favor of reinstating Stranahan's posting privileges)

Stranahan is still persona non grata at the Mecca of the Mislead.

Imagine that, huh? Silencing the voice of dissent within your own camp? Isn't that what they did back when Russia was a SOCIALIST Republic?
