Take the Trek Poll
A simple questionnaire for you regulars:
Squeaker of the Mouse Nancy Pelosi has spoken effusively about her children and grandchildren and how they've shaped her management style. Yet, she is the de facto head of the Democratic Party, which supports abortion on-demand at every level of government involvement.

Election Day already? :p
I voted and I'm sure you'd be pleased with the results. ;)
I'm pushing my limits tonight but i'm havin fun with some new fangled technological dicoveries at my blog. Check out the algore you tube over there funneee stuff!
I think it's more ironic that she's pro-abortion and still talks about her grandchildren. I don't know if it's a double standard.
... but she is a hypocrite for a count of other things
TrekMed... don't tell me you are falling prey to the PC parsing of word wars?
However since I don't like the way you've worded your polls (a common problem with almost all polls and results, BTW...), I'll put my two cents in here.
Ms. Pelosi can feel pro-life about her own family and self, but still be a pro-choice advocate without being saddled by the "hypocrite" or "double standard" moniker. It's why they call it a "pro-choice", and not "pro-death", position. They give everyone their own choice.
She is, however, as Opinionnation and I agree, a hyprocrite for sundry other reasons. Just not this one.
MataHarley, you couldn't have said it better. Thank you for bringing some sense to the table.
FYI - I got your comments but haven't had time to examine them in more detail, check your post about the rapes in more detail yet, etc, because of work, family, etc.
Working on it, though.
FYI - Trek, for some reason, your most recent posts, including your 'Trek Poll' here, have been post-dated days into the future.
Why is that?
The only thing I can think of, and this isn't an accusation by any means, is that by post-dating your blog entries, you maintain a top spot on any blog aggregator service or site that links your content and displays linked titles to your posts.
Such is the case at PhillyFuture where for days now, your "Trek Poll" has remained at the top of their Philly blog stories lists.
Surely this is a mistake because you wouldn't want to manipulate that and falsely promote a particular post of yours that carried a poll whose results you might be hoping to bump up via the additional daily exposure while simultaneously, yet inadvertently of course, preventing other bloggers from having their posts display on PhillyFuture because of an "inadvertent" mistake on your behalf that prevented someone else's post from displaying, possibly up to hours after they initially published it.
Like I said...FYI...
Hey, Sillys**ts, the reason I post-dated this poll was to give people a lot of time to see it and vote on it. As I generally post frequently, the ability to view it would have dropped quickly and the number of votes would have only been a handful. That's hardly enough to quantify the result.
And before you start bitching about me skewing the target audience, bear this is mind:
Howard's PhillyFuture is populated with all sorts of leftist bloggers, Socialist bloggers, "Progressive" bloggers, and well-intentioned Democratic bloggers.
Therefore, plenty of people from both sides of the aisle have had a chance to express their opinions.
MataHarley, you have to take SillyS**ts with a grain of salt.
His ignorance of that facts and my constant reminders are a source of grief to him and his ilk.
He's only bitching because the numbers proving his lack of a grasp of the obvious are not in his favor.
