Sigh... And here I thought the days of yellow journalism were behind us. Every time I think of Spiderman's fight with the press, I think of how conservative ideals are used as a punching bag in the 'real' world.
OMG, I must've passed out for a week and didn't realize it......
The mumia crowd just won't stop. They tried to name a street in Paris too but I don't know if that ever succeeded.
I know exactly where Mumia murdered Danny Faulkner. I was there just two weeks ago on my way to Portifino's with a friend over on Chestnut. I showed her the plaque and told her I've known where the spot was for many years thanks to my doctor being just down the street.
I used to listen to Irv Homer and Dom Giordano all the time when they were on WWDB 96.5 FM and I still listen to Dom on 1210 AM and have listened tearfully and angrily when Maureen has been on as a guest.
I usually park right across the street from the plaque in the parking lot with the big mural on 12th. I stop when I have a little time and take a look in hopes others will do the same, that's how I found it.
It's a shame that Maureen Faulkner and the rest of Danny's family still have to endure this insult to injury time and time again.
I have signed this petition and have signed many others including one to Governors Casey, Thornburg, Ridge and Rendell to finally sign Abu Jamal's death warrant. Ridge signed it but it went back for appeal and Rendell being the spineless wonder he is hasn't done a thing about it.
One day the Faulkners will have justice. For now we must never forget Daniel Faulkner the Philadelphia Police Officer that was murdered by Mumia Abu Jamal.
