This is What the Majority Wanted?
A shrill shrew for Squeaker of the Mouse??
(A second example is here!)
The former head of the KKK three heartbeats away from the Presidency??
And then there's this gem from the local Democratic Mafia,..um,..Party:
ON TUESDAY, state Rep. Rosita Youngblood was one of only three Democrats to vote for Republican John Perzel as speaker of the House.
Within two hours of that vote, Youngblood's daughter-in-law was fired from her job as a clerk for the state police.
Then, on Wednesday afternoon, someone fired a close-range shot into a rear passenger door of Youngblood's parked state car, a Dodge Durango.
Youngblood's 13-year-old son discovered the bullet hole in the car in a parking lot behind her office on Greene Street, near Chelten Avenue, in Germantown.
"I had just sent my youngest son out to the car to get his coat [about 4:30 p.m.] and when he came back he said, 'Mommy, you have big hole in your car,' " Youngblood said.
The bullet entered through the rear passenger door, passed across the rear seats and lodged in a radio speaker in the rear driver's side door.
"I am upset," said Youngblood, who filed a police report. "What if that happened when my son was sitting back there?"
Police said to her, " 'It looks like somebody is trying to send you a message,' " Youngblood told us. (The Trekmedic thinks: Philly cops really are S-M-R-T, huh?)
Youngblood's daughter-in-law, Tomika Bullock, had worked for the state police for a month-and-a-half before being told she was being fired for putting a false employment history on her job application.
Asked if she thought the two incidents were related to her vote for Perzel, Youngblood said, "What do you think? It's stranger than strange."
A spokeswoman for the state police said she could not comment because it was a personnel matter, except to say that a certified letter notifying Bullock of her firing was sent on Dec. 28.
But Bullock, who works with Troop K on Belmont Avenue, said she never received such a letter and worked her regular shift on Dec. 30.
"Nobody said anything to me," she said.
But when she arrived for work at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, she discovered that her immediate supervisor had been called in on his day off to tell her of the termination.
"He said that there was something not truthful on my work history, but when I asked him what it was, he said he didn't know," Bullock said.
Youngblood's Durango, which is leased by the state, carries a state House license plate, HR 198 (her district number), on the rear and a state coat-of-arms plate on the front.
"It has my tags on it so anybody looking for it would know it's my car," Youngblood said.
She said police told her the gun had been fired at close range, low on the door so that the gunman would not attract notice.
The 9 mm slug found in the radio speaker was removed by police for analysis.
"They said someone intentionally did this," Youngblood said. (The TrekMedic thinks again: She's a real Rhodes Scholar, huh?)
Well,..if nothing else, the next two years will be mighty amusing. 2008 can't come fast enough!
