Vox Populi!

Well,..first, declining attendance finally forced the Phillies organization to jettison 7-year loser Ed Wade.

Then, righteous indignation over back-door payraise caused the downfall of a state-elected judge.

Now comes this:

Facing declining subscriptions, has the Inkwaster finally gone mainstream??

Witness the Sunday Inkwaster's "Currents" page for November 13th, 2005:

Jeff Gelles actively proposes the takeover of beleaguered PGW by Peco Energy.

Imagine that! A private firm (Peco) taking over control of a public utility (PGW)!

While I agree with Mr. Gelles that "This is no knee-jerk case for privization," I can't believe the editorial board at the Inky actually APPROVED its publication!

Gelles is one of their business writers. Their business guys go more to the right than the editorial pages there, anyway.
