I heard this story today on the Michael Smerconish radio show today and I'm still shaking my head!
A fellow named Colin Cameron was vacationing in NYC on December 20th, 2004. While eating breakfast at his TriBeCa hotel, he looked out the window and saw an "Arab-looking" man in a nondescript black van, taking pictures.
The view from that particular window was nothing special, so this raised so suspicion in Mr. Cameron. He took out his own camera and began to take some photos of the "Arab" photographer.
After making some inquiries, Mr. Cameron found out the building being photographed was the AT&T nexus for ALL OF NEW YORK CITY!!
Now the"fun" begins,....
Mr Cameron went back home to Doylestown, PA and went on-line to the Pennsylvania Dept of Homeland Security website. After filling out the appropriate form, he went about his business.
To this day, the PA DHS has NOT responded to his report. A phonecall to the same office was answered by the Pennsylvania State Police. They, in turn, referred Mr Cameron to the NY State Department of Homeland Security.
Small problem: You can't call their 800 number from outside of the state!
And this is how we're going to stop terrorists from attacking us again???
