More Philadelphia FD EMS Woes!

Trek, I heard this advertised the other day, and I missed the original airing, so thanks for linking the video.

It sounds to me as if Philly would benefit from both ther education campaign and what Monoc has implemented.

Of course, that one guy says that Philly's policy is driven by fear of lawsuits (what isn't these days?) but he basically blows this off stating the $250M liability limit. What he doesn't address is the PR nightmare it is for departments when mistakes are made like the poor Rumph boy. Evertybody wants to place blame, so rather than relying on dispatcher's JUDGEMENT--a liability nightmare--they rely on the lottery: don't get sick during a busy time.

Perhaps media outlets like Fox 29 will be the first to step up and say they won't join the chorus of bloodthirsty media vultures questioning the judgement of a dispatcher if Philly puts a Monoc-like system in place?
