People I Hate!

People the Trekmedic Hates :

Arrogant suburban families that think,..nay - ASSUME, that the staffers at the local Borders and Barnes and Noble stores are their personal babysitters.

There's something seriously wrong when you feel the urge to waste $8-10 on a cup of Seattle's Best or Starbucks Coffee on a Saturday morning, but are also saddled with your parental duty to watch over your children.

The solution?

Take your pre-schoolers over to the bookstore, dump them in the children's' book section to have at it, and go upstairs and enjoy that over-priced cuppa Joe!

Who cares if you haven't taught your children age-appropriate manners yet? Who cares if they don't understand "indoor voice" yet? Who cares if your ill-mannered children take EVERY SINGLE BOOK off the shelf? Isn't that what the staff at the store get paid to do??

But that's OK,..you've had your caffeine fix for the day, right?

Who cares if your child's screaming because you won't buy the roughly 100-odd books they want RIGHT NOW!!

And,...

Who cares if some child predator notices that your children are alone?

And who will be the first ones sued for poor security when something dreadful happens to your child afterwards? Uh-huh,...the same people you assumed would be their unwitting babysitters!
