Pure bullcrap. Yup, the journalistic standard-bearers of the NYTimes relied on "several veterans of the antiwar movement" to give them crowd estimates of the Gathering of Eagles. It's the domestic equivalent of MSMers relying on dubious Iraqi stringers to provide them with war coverage while they sit in their comfy Green Zone offices in D.C. and Manhattan.

Without any proof, and despite official confirmation that there is no estimate, official or otherwise, untold numbers of you all continue to believe whatever Malkin and the rest of them shovel you.
I know you guys like to "annoy" the left, but this is just sad.
Y'know, Akkam, you're opinion would have held more weight if you sourced something tangible, instead of the opinion of a like-minded person.
And if you're "annoyed" by what we right-minded individuals say, maybe its your conscience just getting the better part of you.
Face it - you were out-organized by A Gathering of Eagles and you were outnumbered.

An unattributed post of an "unofficial NPS estimate" by Michelle Malkin from two people (Kit and Hiedi) does not make it true. Oh yeah, and the usual "highly accurate" screencap from FOXNEWS, again without substantiation.
Bill Line, a real person from the National Park Service said the following:

I am the spokesperson for the National Park Service in Washington, D.C. I never issued any statement of any kind about anything related to this past weekend’s events, let alone anything about crowd size. In fact, I was never asked that question by anyone.
Anyone who gives any crowd size number or figure for this past weekend is making the figure up and does not have any authorization whatsoever to attribute those figures to the National Park Service. Since I never issued any such statement nor was ever the question raised in the first place, it is impossible to attribute any figures to the National Park Service for this past weekend’s events.
Lastly, Congress prohibits the National Park Service from giving or providing any crowd estimate for any permitted event on the National Mall.
I hope this is of help and clarification for you.

I bit of news for you, I WAS THERE! There were at least 30,000 patriots if not more. It was the most memorable, patriotic and historical event I have ever been to.
Michelle Malkin was also there.
WERE YOU? I doubt it, while you were sitting comfortably in your nice warm home me and my fellow Patriots braved the freesing cold, got up off our butts, and did something. We saved the Viet Nam Memorial from getting trashed by your Left Wing Lunatic people, Supported our Troops, and supported our Viet Nam Vets and all the Vets.

Here is just one picture from this Historic event that clearly shows tens of thousands of Patriots that were there that Historic day.
I hope that shows up if not you can go Here and there you will find Michelle Malkin interviewing just some of the Patriots that were there on YouTube, and it shows the crowd size of both sides the Patriots and the Left Wing Lunatics.
The only thing that is sad is you cant fathom the thought that there is a movement of people out there that are sick to death of the way our Troops are being treated by the likes of you and your ilk.
